Show Us Where You Live Friday

This idea came from Kelly at Kelly's Korner. (If you haven't read her blog, she has the CUTEST little girl and just an amazing attitude towards life! Great Blog!) Anyhoo, she came up with the fun idea of a house tour, taking one room a week. What a great, free way to get decorating ideas!
Yes...I realize it is Sunday, however, Friday was a really, REALLY tough day at school and I was too exhausted to post. Saturday, we were busy with the Flowood Arts and Crafts Fair (post to come) and visiting with family. So here we are...on Show Us Where You Live Sunday.

This is the view of my kitchen from the doorway between the living room and kitchen. I have to say, the kitchen is what sold us on this house. (And I was 7 months preggo at the time...what pregnant lady doesn't love a good kitchen!) We have so more much storage room than at our first house.

Another view from the living room. I LOVE this frame I got from Rustic Creations. It holds one of my most prized pictures of Brody standing! It was one of the first we'd ever gotten of him showing off his new skillz!

This is the view from the breakfast/eating area.

Upclose with the gas stove and microwave. I love using the gas stove. It was definitely an adjustment, but well worth it. Our oven is actually gas too.

This is facing our laundry room (door on the left) and our walk in pantry (door on the right). I can't believe I'm actually showing yall my pantry, but oh well. I was so worried about storage and when we saw this pantry we were SOLD!!! Now I can use my cabinets for dishes only.

This is the sign above the laundry door. I love it! I got it off of Etsy. You can't see it from the picture but it has our names painted under Hayman's.

To the left of the laundry room door is this curio cabinet. It was Ken's Grandmother's. It displays, well used to display one of the sets of her China. But if you notice, the bottom is empty for now. Brody likes to pull it off the shelf and...well...you can imagine what he could do with China! I love my painted wine glasses and my Gail Pittman "H" platter!

My baker's rack sits on the wall of the doorway into the living room. It proudly showcases some of my Gail Pittman and Southern Living pieces. And thanks to my brother and my soon to be SIL for the gorgeous metal plate we got for Christmas.

If you are facing the stove and look immediately to your right, you will see the refrigerator and some more cabinets. After seeing all of the wonderful kitches out in bloggy land, I really want to turn this into a wine station. It already holds wine glasses and cookbooks inside. Hmmm....ideas, ideas...

Somehow I managed to turn off the flash...sorry its so dark. But this is our kitchen table and we have amazing windows in the kitchen and living room looking out into the backyard.

This is the island. I LOVE it! I'm still working on getting bar stools for it. I need the taller ones and I want them to match the kitchen table chairs, which are also high. Any suggestions?

Front side of the island. It hides all of our gadgets and the right "cabitnet" is the garbage drawer.

Hope you enjoyed the tour! Sorry its late! Will try to be on time for living rooms. See you next Friday!

Very cute kitchen. Love it! Ialso love your rustic creations frame. We have a beach/cottage/coastal decorated home and I'm also a photographyer. Therefore, I am always on the hunt for cool rustic white frames to go with our decor. Thanks for sharing. Found you thru Kelly's blog. I got my kitchen tour post up on my blog yesterday as well. :)

Thanks for letting us see your kitchen! I love it! I got your link from Kelly's blog as well. Do you mind sending me the link to the etsy store where you got the name sign above your pantry? I love that and I have the same colors as well in my kitchen. I didn't post pictures of my kitchen on my blog though, but I love looking at all of the ideas from others. If you don't mind sending me that etsy store link, then my e-mail is MrsShannon05@aol.com. Thanks so much!
