How He's Grown

I didn't realize how big Brody has gotten until I put him in this chair. He slept in this chair every night for almost three months when his reflux was so bad. This was when he was just a couple of days old. He had two hats, a onesie, a preemie sleeper and socks on! Word of advice..don't have preemie's in the middle of January!!
But now....at almost 6 months old, he's so big!!! I can't believe its already been that long. I miss him being little, but I do have to say that was such a trying time. I doubted everything we did, and considered us a failure. But the Lord has a greater plan, and Brody pulled through everything.

Let me begin by saying how completely amazingly talented and loving my aunt it. She has worked so hard on this outfit and its perfect! I LOVE IT!!!! And just in time. We have two bday parties this weekend and I wanted something cute for him to wear. (Sidenote...he liked it so much he started chewing on it, which would be the reason for the wet spot.) Thanks so much Lisa!!!

Around the House

Having the summer off, I've really been trying to soak up every minute with Brody. I've been snapping a few pictures whenever I get the chance. He changes ever so slightly each day.


Oddly enough, this is not a posed picture. Everyday, I try to put Bailey and Brody around each other. Bailey is so shy around him, and would rather be in a completely different room. I put Brody on her belly and this is what he did. Too funny! He doesn't mind Bailey near as much as she minds him.

Jammies

Wow...two blogs in one day. Don't yall feel special? = ) The last couple of nights, when we have gone in to check on Brody, he is sweatin' up a storm! I'm guessing he has picked up his daddy's hot-naturedness...if that's a word. (My spell check says its not...but just go with it.) Normally, he sleeps in the sleep-and-plays with the feet. But tonight I rummaged and managed to come up with pants with no feet that are too short and a mismatched top that wasn't a onesie. Do they make 'summertime' pj's? I thought about just a onesie, but I thought he need something on his legs. So...two questions for yall...

1. Do they make these?


2. Where can ya get them?

And by the way...he looked like a true ragamuffin.

Get Your Roll On!

Everybody, everybody get your roll on! Brody has learned how to roll over from front to back. Yay! Now we can finally go both ways. It still takes him awhile to get that arm out of the way, but momma's proud!

Brody's First Swim Lessons

Tonight we went to eat dinner with Ken's brother and sister-and-law. We hadn't seen them in awhile and it was so nice to catch up! Brody, of course, loved to be doted on.

Play Date

Brody had a play date yesterday afternoon with Bryce and Ella. We had a great time. I'm really going to miss these lazy summer days. Only one more week of summer school and then just four weeks till the teachers report back. I'm soaking up every moment, every smile, every coo. The play date started out with Brody asleep. Bless his heart, we live out in the country and it takes a good 15 minutes to get anywhere. He can't help but fall asleep. When he woke up, we played with Ella. She's is so much fun to watch. Brody is going to be so much fun at that age...a handful...but definitely fun! After our play date, we convinced the boys to meet us at El Ranchito for dinner. Michael, Olivia, and their friend Luke also met us there. (Luke is the amazing trumpet player that played at our wedding.) It was a great afternoon, and we all crashed when we got home.
